Skills Construction Centre are a construction training provider with over 15 years of experience of delivering a wide range of training and support to both employers and learners.
Pupils at Castlefield Campus who expressed an interest in a career in construction have the opportunity to do weekly sessions at the centre and try out different areas of construction. They are able to gain qualifications in multi-trades. This includes;
Some pupils may then get offered to do an apprenticeship there once they have left school. Others have been able to get into college courses as a result of the qualifications they have achieved from the centre. Pupils spend two days a week at the centre for a year.
The fully-funded 16-18 programme consist of 6 introductory qualifications to prepare learners for a real working construction site. As with all their courses, learners will get the opportunity to gain their CSCS card at the end of the course.
